Doctors say he is looking Good!

Happy Saturday!

Hope the beginning of your weekend is bright and sunny! It is a beautiful day in Rochester today, a few clouds, but the sun keeps managing to break through. :)

Mr. Hiccup is feeling stronger every day. The doctors are amazed at the way he is rebounding from this surgery. His vitals are strong, he is tube free and pain free, he is eating and drinking and he leaves the nurses in the dust on his walks. The only think that is really frustrating, are the darned hiccups, and the doctors don't seem to be too worried about that.

The doctors are still thinking that Jeff can probably be dismissed either Sunday or Monday. He is getting very anxious to get home.

Well, my clicking is driving him crazy, so I will stop for now. I'll write more later!

Keep smiling,
Kim :)

  1. Jeff, it sounds like you are making a remarkable
recovery----see what good, clean living does?!?!
Now for those hiccups!! I bet that you guys are
all more than ready to head for home, and I know
that there are a couple people that will be very
glad to see their parents. Keep in touch.

    Love,
    Mom

  2. Mrs. Ridder,
My advice for the case of the hiccups is...
SCARE HIM!!! Just joking! It is a beautiful day in Lincoln, and I was just wondering...Do you get outside much? Or do you just stay inside with your husband? Well, all is good in Lincoln.
I hope you get back soon, as well as Jeff.
    Your fav student,

  3. I even know how to scare him----tell him you are
pregnant!!! Kristi just left to say hi to her
mother-in-law. Hope that your day is going
great. Take a few more walks, Jeff!

    Love you,
    Mom

Miss you both, cannot wait until you make it back to Lincoln. We will hope to hear that you are out tomorrow.

    Hugs to you,

  5. Hi! I was just talking to Sean's mother who is a former nurse and she had a cure for hiccups that she says has worked for some of her patients. Drink out of a water fountain (one of the lower ones). She says bending over and drinking at the same time seems to help. Just a suggestion!!! Hope Jeff is feeling better and able to eat. North Platte has been fun!!!

  6. Tubeless and ready to come home are great signs. I think Nana and Papa are heading over to see the kids sometime today. I don't know how many times Papa has asked me if everything is OK with Jeff and every day I read your blog to Nana. We are all anxious to get you home too.

    Love,
    Peg

  7. YEAH! Sounds like things are going very well! Those stops on the way home will just be opportunities to shop! : )
I have a hiccup cure that works every time. Have a glass of water - plug your ears with your thumbs - pick up the glass with your other fingers and drink several gulps while breathing out of your nose. Works every time - but then again I've never done it after having brain surgery. Jeff - you're need to get some sun when you get home - your tan line is uneven! : )
Hugs and prayers still coming your way!!!

  8. Jeff and Kim,

I hope everything keeps improving! You're on the mend. Hope the hiccups leave soon. The zipper in the back of my head is alot smaller from jumping the bed when I shoudn't have! You're lucky you can still grow at our age!

I talked to Loper at the Arnold Track Meet. He said to let you know to get well soon!

The farmers have been slammin corn in the ground and starting on beans. We haven't had much rain to hold us up, so it's been crazy.
Everything will get done earlier this year, so spring and summer won't get mixed together like last year.

I sent you an e-mail about the piano that people sometimes play at the Mayo Clinic. It's a real hoot!

Kim, whatever you do, don't try to scare away his hiccups! He's been under heavy sedation and you could literally scare the crap out of him! Ha! Ha!

I have some really important question.
    1. Why do doctors leave the room while you change? They're going to see you naked anyway.

2.If corn oil is made from corn, and vegetable oil is made from vegatables, what is baby oil made from??

    3. Do the Alphabet song and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star have the same tune?

    4. Why did you try singing the two songs above?

    You both take care!
